It’s been a year since the end of the war. It’s been a year, and negotiations for peace are still being handled. Fire Lord Zuko has a lot on his plate, and there is a whisper of discontent in the air.

Amid the peace that has been hard-won, a council has been created featuring members of each of the Nations, as well as the Avatar. The goal of this National Council is simple - to prevent an atrocity like Sozin’s War from ever happening again.

Resurgence is a sandbox Avatar: The Last Airbender / The Legend of Aang role-play set one year after the end of the Hundred Year War. We accept both canons and original characters, and take the story in any direction we'd like, exploring the semantics and problems of a war-torn world rebuilding. We are rated PG-13 with optional mature content.

A war raged across the Four Nations for 100 years. In that war, the majority of the Air Nomads were destroyed. The majority of the people of the world blame the Fire Nation for starting and driving the war for so long.

A year ago, during an event known as Sozin's Comet, the Avatar returned and defeated the Fire Lord Ozai once and for all. The war was ended immediately thereafter by the new Fire Lord Zuko. After the war was ended an uneasy peace descended across the survivors. The Earth King was never found, and in Kuei's place a new Earth King rose as well - dubbed Earth King Asante.

The world is war torn and struggling to remember what it is to live in peace. There are still political conflicts - the Colonies, for example, among other issues. The National Council has been formed in an attempt to minimize these conflicts and to provide resolution to them.

But it's going to take a lot of work from all sides to fix this. Whose side are you on? How will you help shape this new peace?

As of the current time in play, Toph has travelled back to Ba Sing Se with Avatar Aang to meet with Earth King Asante about the Fire Nation colonies.

Lady Ursa has returned home and is settling back into palace life, assisting with the political side of settling down after the war, and Lady Mai has returned to the palace after a year's absence.

None of them are quite prepared for what Kasang of the Dragons of Yu Dao is going to bring to the table.
